Role Overview

The Operations Officer will be based in Addis Ababa and work onsite in a full-time capacity. The position focuses on keeping daily operations running smoothly by coordinating logistics, supporting supply chain activities, and helping ensure company processes are executed effectively. The role also involves reviewing operational data, spotting opportunities to improve performance, and assisting with the design and rollout of better systems as the business scales.

Key Focus Areas

  • Coordinate routine operational work and support the movement of goods and services.
  • Help manage supply chain-related processes and ensure procedures are followed consistently.
  • Track operational results, review data, and identify practical improvements.
  • Work with finance, technical, and leadership teams to align operations with business goals.
  • Assist with budgeting, resource use, planning, reporting, and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with internal policies and support the creation of scalable operating systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should bring experience or capability in operations management, workflow coordination, process improvement, and basic project handling. A strong grasp of analytics and finance is important, including budget monitoring, cost review, and using data to guide decisions. Good communication and interpersonal ability are needed to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders.

Experience in operations, business administration, or a related field is an advantage, especially in startups, technology, mobility, or automotive environments. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent practical experience may also be considered. Strong organization, careful attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a busy setting are essential. Interest in electric mobility, sustainability, and working in a mission-driven startup is highly valued.
