Role Overview
DPD UK is hiring an experienced Operations Manager to strengthen the depot leadership team in Swansea. The role plays a key part in ensuring the depot runs efficiently, supports strong customer service, and meets demanding targets across cost, health and safety, security, productivity, and transport.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead recruitment, staff development, and retention while ensuring compliance and employee relations procedures are properly followed.
- Manage profit and loss through structured planning and accurate reporting.
- Enhance operational support and contribute ideas for improved and more innovative ways of working.
What the Role Requires
- Substantial experience in logistics, warehousing, or distribution environments.
- Confidence operating in a fast-moving setting and leading high-performing teams effectively.
- Experience tracking performance, reviewing data, identifying improvement areas, and putting change into practice.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to shape and influence strategy.
- A leadership style that reflects DPD’s values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, and Accountability.
- Availability to work any 5 shifts across a 365-day operation, including some weekend work.
- A valid full UK driving licence.
