Location and Shift Details

This role is based at Manor Walks Shopping Centre, Redditch, England. The working schedule is Monday to Friday with two Saturdays on rotation from 4 PM, totaling 42 hours per week.

Overview

ABM UK is looking for a proactive and skilled Operations Manager responsible for managing various operational aspects such as security, cleanliness, hygiene, waste disposal, maintenance, and landscaping at our client's site. The role demands ensuring all operational activities comply with client expectations and company policies.

Key Duties

  • Oversee contract execution following company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain consistently high levels of cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management.
  • Manage security personnel deployment according to site schedules, ensuring clear communication and proper documentation of any incidents.
  • Prepare budget forecasts and conduct monthly budget reconciliations.
  • Offer professional support for service-related issues within the business.
  • Handle staff scheduling, payroll processes, and ensure adequate manpower levels.
  • Foster effective communication and motivate on-site teams.
  • Ensure conformity to quality performance standards and address any non-compliance issues promptly.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in managing operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to uphold high standards in cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial control.
  • Excellent leadership and communication capabilities.
  • Proficient with IT tools.
  • Valid Health & Safety Certificate.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders including clients, customers, and staff.
  • IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
  • Skill in preparing clear and concise reports.
  • Capability to manage resources and solve problems efficiently.
  • Proven leadership in managing change and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Experience in customer service and familiarity with shopping centre operations.
  • Possession of SIA Door Supervisor license.
