Program Overview

The 2026 UPS Operations Management Specialist Program within the Transportation Group is an 18-month comprehensive development initiative aimed at preparing high-potential professionals with operational knowledge, leadership skills, and a strategic mindset needed for future management roles at UPS.

Participants will engage in structured rotations through essential operational sectors such as Air Hub and Gateway Operations, Ramp Operations, Air Cargo Business Operations, Air Service Centers, and Air Network Planning.

This role emphasizes hands-on frontline experience rather than traditional office settings. Participants will work closely with teams in sorting facilities, on ramps, and within time-sensitive logistics operations. The program's goal is to build robust operational expertise by immersing participants in the fast-paced, complex environment of the network. Learning will be reinforced via project work, experiential assignments, and collaborative initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in any field; degrees in Operations Management, Logistics, Aviation Management, Engineering, or related areas are preferred
• Experience in hub operations, airline industry, logistics, or other fast-paced operational contexts is advantageous
• Demonstrated leadership potential accompanied by strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Innovative and self-driven attitude focused on process improvement and challenging current methods
• Willingness to work non-standard hours including shift rotations and to be present in frontline operational environments
• Open to regional travel as part of the training program
• Proficient in English with excellent verbal and presentation communication skills
