Role Overview
This summer internship is based in Atlanta, GA and provides practical exposure to the operational side of commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic projects. The position is centered on project execution support, with specific attention to document control, financial analysis, and maintenance-related optimization work.
Key Responsibilities
- Move project records into the new SiteTracker documentation framework, including bulk file handling and renaming files to meet updated standards.
- Keep financing-related records organized and current, such as generation and revenue reports, corrective maintenance logs, as-built drawings, warranty files, and operations and maintenance reports.
- Assist with financial modeling and general Excel-based analysis.
- Review performance data from before and after module cleaning at the Carter Farms site.
- Prepare a detailed case study showing the operational impact of solar module washing.
Required Qualifications
- Active student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, such as Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical, or in Business-related studies such as Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
- Must be based in the Atlanta, GA area and able to commute to the office.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Well organized, detail-focused, and able to communicate clearly in both writing and speaking.
- Comfortable working with a team as well as handling independent assignments.
Internship Schedule
The assignment runs for 9 to 10 weeks, with anticipated dates from Monday, June 1, 2026 through late July or early August 2026. The role is part-time and limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week. Hours are flexible within normal business hours, and the team will coordinate a steady weekly schedule that supports business needs while preserving summer flexibility.
Compensation & Benefits
The internship includes an hourly wage and a flexible part-time schedule designed to support work-life balance. In addition to hands-on experience in the solar industry, the intern will receive a monthly communication stipend.
