Role Overview

This position supports the core back-office functions that keep the organization running smoothly, with a focus on finance, HR operations, and compliance. You will work closely with other teams and contribute to people operations as well as sales operations. The role is central to ensuring employees across the country receive strong support from the organization.

Goalbook is looking for someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate behind the scenes and wants to contribute to the systems and processes that help the company stay effective and mission-driven.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle daily finance operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, customer payment processing, expense reimbursements, state compliance reporting, and support for travel and business expense reconciliation.
  • Support HR operations, including HR systems, employee data management, onboarding, offboarding, IT coordination, and enforcement of company-wide policies and processes.
  • Work with vendors to resolve payment issues and keep invoices moving through the approval and payment process without delay.
  • Look for ways to simplify and improve workflows, strengthen consistency in policies, and build trusted working relationships across teams to support better operations.
  • Assist the Operations team across additional areas as needed, including legal, compliance, travel, conferences, office needs, and team events.
  • Be available for limited travel related to onboarding, professional development, and company gatherings.

Required Experience and Qualities

The company is seeking a candidate with at least 2 years of operations experience in a startup setting. You should be highly structured, exceptionally attentive to details, comfortable working independently in a hands-on environment, and able to communicate in a clear and concise way. Discretion is important, as the role involves handling sensitive information.

Benefits and Compensation

Compensation is offered in the range of 70,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and location.
