Op Shop Helper Volunteer

About the Role

Volunteer Marlborough invites individuals over 16 years old with available time to contribute positively by joining our team as an Op Shop Helper. This vital volunteer position supports the humane treatment of animals and assists in raising funds through second-hand shop activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Accepting and preparing donated items through cleaning and merchandising
• Performing general housekeeping duties within the shop
• Delivering excellent customer service to visitors

Availability and Commitment

Shifts are available throughout the week, both full and half days on Monday to Sunday. Volunteers are expected to contribute one shift per week, either during morning or afternoon hours.

• Organized and methodical work approach
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
• Positive attitude towards colleagues and customers alike
• Must undergo a Ministry of Justice background check
