Role overview
This position is for a nurse within the Detoxification/Rehabilitation/Outpatient section of the organization. The role focuses on delivering safe, effective, and economical nursing care that supports patient wellbeing, clinical quality, and satisfaction while following approved procedures, nursing standards, professional ethics, and environmental health and safety rules.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out nursing care in line with the center’s policies, procedures, and scope of services.
- Provide direct clinical nursing support, assess patient needs, and respond to urgent or required medical interventions.
- Set care priorities according to ongoing patient assessments and unit requirements.
- Keep the medical team informed about changes in treatment plans and patient condition.
- Educate patients and their families using the center’s available resources.
- Receive, store, and maintain the availability of medicines and medical equipment according to center procedures.
- Work closely with Pharmacy, Laboratory, and Support Services to meet service delivery needs.
- Record nursing interventions and care in electronic patient medical records as required by center policy.
- Follow infection control protocols and related safety requirements.
- Take part in committees, task forces, and other organizational duties as assigned.
Qualifications and experience
The role requires a bachelor’s degree in nursing, Health Sciences Management, or a related equivalent discipline, along with specialized certifications in the same field. Candidates should have at least 4 years of post-graduation experience, including 2 years in the same area.
