Haven is hiring a Lifeguard in Watchet, England, United Kingdom to help create a safe, enjoyable swimming experience for guests. This role is available on a full-time, part-time, or seasonal basis and pays £12.71 per hour.
The position calls for a qualified lifeguard who is alert, dependable, and confident in responding to water-related incidents. You should be comfortable supervising swimmers, acting quickly in emergencies, and offering a welcoming, guest-focused experience.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise swimming areas to help prevent accidents and keep guests safe.
- Respond quickly to emergencies, including rescue situations and first aid support where required.
- Apply pool rules and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and pleasant environment.
- Carry out routine checks on pool equipment and related facilities.
- Keep the pool area clean, tidy, and well organised.
- Support guests with questions or concerns and deliver helpful customer service.
Requirements
- Valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is required.
- Strong swimming ability.
- Good attention to detail and sound judgement.
- Ability to stay focused and react promptly in emergencies.
- Friendly manner with clear communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
