Job description
About the role
This position sits within Amazon’s operations team and focuses on keeping non-inventory materials moving smoothly through the site. The role supports the handling of items such as MRO supplies, corrugate, safety gear, and tools. You will work closely with other Non-Inventory Receivers and the SPM to help maintain accurate stock flow, support the work areas, and keep records up to date.
What you will do
- Unload incoming non-inventory deliveries and place them in the correct locations with accuracy.
- Operate a PIT rider to support material movement.
- Stage product in designated work areas and keep packaging materials organized.
- Maintain suitable levels of shipping supplies, kanbans, and supermarket stock.
- Record receipts in the Coupa purchasing system and support data entry tasks.
- Investigate missing shipments and follow up on non-inventory discrepancies.
- Help with payment-related queries raised by Accounts Payable.
- Keep records and files properly maintained.
- Carry out weekly cycle counts through Amazon’s purchasing system.
- Deliver shipping supplies and consumables to the appropriate department.
- Support the Procurement Analyst with stock control for shipping supplies.
- Coach associates to follow safe work practices at all times.
- Escalate workplace injuries to the area manager without delay.
What you need
- Completed high school or an equivalent qualification.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week and overtime when needed.
- Capability to lift up to 49 pounds and remain on your feet for shifts of up to 12 hours.
- Physical ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- At least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong data-entry ability and confidence navigating purchasing and inventory systems.
- High attention to detail when receiving, storing, and tracking goods.
- Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Preferred experience
- Valid LF sit-down licence.
- Experience with Coupa or a similar procurement system.
- Background in non-inventory or MRO supply management.
- Experience with cycle counting and stock control procedures.
- Familiarity with kanban replenishment and supermarket-based supply methods.
- Exposure to Accounts Payable processes, including shipment and payment discrepancies.
- Experience coaching or mentoring others on safety and operational processes.
