Role purpose

This part-time Night Auditor position is based at Crystalbrook Byron and involves working four nights per week. The role suits someone with strong auditing capability, close attention to detail, and a genuine focus on guest experience. It requires confidence working independently, as well as the ability to contribute positively within a small, collaborative team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Night Manager with emergencies and incidents that arise overnight.
• Check, balance, and post the day’s trading transactions accurately.
• Respond to guest needs during the night shift in a prompt and professional way.
• Identify and investigate any mismatch between revenue and payments.
• Carry out security patrols throughout the night.
• Run system backup processes and routine maintenance procedures.
• Deliver service in line with the organisation’s service excellence standards.
• Provide practical assistance in Front Office and other hotel outlets when required.

Skills and experience

• Enjoy working with numbers and financial details.
• Working knowledge of accounting basics.
• Familiarity with property management systems, with Opera preferred.
• Competence using Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Prior experience in overnight work.
• Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality setting.
• Practical, common-sense approach to tasks and decisions.
• Calm and composed when handling pressure or emergencies.
• Availability for 11pm to 7am shifts, including possible weekends.
