About the Opportunity

Join a collaborative civil construction team working on complex projects that support communities and environmental outcomes. This position is suited to someone who enjoys shaping work at the early stages and contributing ideas that influence how major projects are planned and delivered.

Role Overview

Based in Wellington, this role is positioned at the front end of significant civil works. You will partner with project teams to build tender solutions, develop construction approaches, and help move projects from concept into delivery. The role also supports winning new work across the Southern Region while setting projects up for smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create construction methodologies, sequencing plans, staging strategies, and tender schedules.
  • Compile and coordinate tender material, including pricing-related documentation.
  • Assist with Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) and contribute to planning discussions.
  • Assess bid risks, including temporary works considerations, and help manage them effectively.
  • Work in close coordination with estimators, project managers, supervisors, and commercial colleagues.
  • Support project handover, mobilisation activities, and management planning.

What You Need to Bring

  • A civil engineering degree or a comparable tertiary qualification.
  • Approximately 5 or more years of experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques, work sequencing, and project risk management.
  • Good relationship-building skills and confidence working across multiple teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong written communication, analytical ability, and organisational capability.
  • The ability to juggle competing deadlines and produce practical solutions under pressure.
