Company Overview
Our client is a prominent professional services firm operating nationally across four Australian offices with around 85 staff. Under new leadership, the company is transitioning from a founder-driven model to a structured, cohesive operational framework designed to support growth and alignment across the country.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the National Head of Operations, the National Operations Lead will be a central figure in managing and advancing nationwide projects across various business functions including operations, HR, technology, marketing, and administration. This position demands a hands-on leader who thrives on variety and operates with autonomy, ideally preparing for a senior operational leadership or Chief of Staff pathway.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate national operational projects from conception through to execution.
- Collaborate across HR, IT, marketing, compliance, and administrative teams to implement business improvements.
- Engage with both external vendors and internal teams to facilitate technology rollouts and operational changes.
- Develop and refine processes, documentation, templates, and workflows that standardize business practices.
- Monitor project tasks, risks, and milestones, delivering transparent reports to senior leadership.
- Support governance frameworks, operational reporting, meetings, and other national initiatives.
- Identify and implement methods to refine processes and enhance both employee and customer experiences.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and excels in multitasking while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Key attributes include:
- Experience in operational management, project coordination, business improvement, or transformation roles.
- Strong project management aptitude and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams without direct authority.
- Confidence in managing internal teams and external suppliers to achieve objectives.
- A practical, hands-on work style with a readiness to engage actively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, or regulated industries is advantageous but not mandatory.
Additional Information & Terms
- Up to $140,000 salary plus superannuation.
- Initial 12-month fixed-term contract with possibility for permanency.
- Hybrid work arrangement, typically requiring 2-3 days a week at the Parramatta office.
- Opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership and gain broad exposure across multiple corporate functions.
- Be part of a transformational journey with visible business impact and process-building opportunities.
