Job Overview

Provide engaging and informative tours that enhance visitors' understanding of exhibits relating to history, culture, and technology. This position demands excellent communication abilities to simplify complex subjects for a varied audience base.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead guided tours for groups, including school children, and assist individual visitors as needed.
• Clarify the background, importance, and operational aspects of displayed items.
• Promote visitor participation through discussions and interactive question-and-answer sessions.
• Identify and report any faults in exhibits, safety hazards, or maintenance issues in the facility.
• Assist with the arrangement of exhibits, maintain documentation, and contribute to event programs.
• Gather and document visitor feedback to improve experiences.

Requirements

• Holds any undergraduate degree such as B.A., B.Sc., B.E., or B.Tech, preferably in:
• Primary: History, Museology, Heritage Management, Tourism Studies, or related disciplines.
• Secondary: B.Sc. degrees in Physics, Electronics, or Mathematics with a focus on Physics/Electronics; or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electronics (ECE/E&I), or Mechatronics.
• Proficient in spoken English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
• A genuine interest in history, technology, and museums.
