Job description
Company Overview
The Warehouse Group is looking for passionate finance business partners who enjoy influencing commercial outcomes and providing practical guidance to the business. This is a permanent opportunity within a respected and established team, set in a fast-moving retail environment.
The Warehouse Group is a well-known New Zealand retail brand with a strong presence across The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, and Noel Leeming. The organisation values efficiency, teamwork, and the ability to adapt quickly while working collaboratively.
Role Summary
There are two Finance Business Partner positions available. Both roles support the Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery brands and report to the Senior Finance Business Partners for TWS. The roles are focused on ensuring commercial thinking supports strategic decision-making across the business.
You will partner with senior leaders in your assigned area, offering informed commercial advice across strategic, operational, people, commercial, and financial matters. Your input will be shaped by high-quality analysis, financial modelling, business case development, and a strong understanding of trade-offs and broader strategy.
Budgeting, forecasting, and value creation will be central to the role. The position requires someone who can bring objectivity and strategic insight, while also being comfortable working through detailed analysis when needed. Success in this role will also depend on your ability to build strong relationships, influence stakeholders, and challenge thinking to support better business decisions.
The company is seeking people who collaborate naturally, stay curious, and are willing to learn and adapt. Mindset is considered just as important as prior experience.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Finance Business Partner or Commercial Advisor

- CA, CPA, or CFA qualification
- Experience working in retail and/or supply chain environments
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, educate, challenge, and collaborate with internal stakeholders
- Leadership capability to guide, support, and develop finance specialists
