Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and pursue sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate business handover so that event and service teams receive accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Support day-to-day sales operations with a focus on relationship building and sales target achievement.
  • Work with off-property sales channels to keep sales activity aligned, complementary, and free from duplication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to encourage repeat and future bookings through calls, entertainment, familiarization trips, trade shows, and similar activities.
  • Build connections within the local community to broaden the customer base and create additional sales opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with important internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support sales calls with the team to win new business and close opportunities.
  • Prepare proposals, contracts, and customer communications as part of the business booking process.
  • Identify new business opportunities and work toward revenue goals for both the role and the location.
  • Track market conditions, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and wider economic trends to position the property effectively.
  • Choose the most suitable opportunities based on market conditions and the property’s needs.
  • Understand the primary customer profile, service expectations, business challenges, and concerns in order to offer appropriate solutions.
  • Deliver customer service that supports loyalty, account growth, and the company’s service standards.
  • Set a positive example in guest relations and gather feedback on product quality and service performance.

Experience and education

Candidates should have either a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related field, plus 3 years of experience in sales and marketing or a closely related area; or a 4-year bachelor’s degree in one of the same fields, plus 1 year of relevant experience.
