About the role
FC Schalke 04 is looking for a Hospitality employee (m/f/d) to strengthen the Sales & Marketing division at the earliest possible start date. The club stands for community, respect, diversity, tradition, and a strong connection to Gelsenkirchen and the Ruhr region.
What you will do
- Take full end-to-end ownership of hospitality partners and serve as their main contact for all questions and needs.
- Identify opportunities with existing partners, develop new marketing approaches, and contribute your own ideas to further improve hospitality offerings.
- Maintain regular personal contact with partners and represent the club confidently with strong communication skills.
- Manage contracts, terms, and cancellations while keeping a clear overview of all deadlines and durations.
- Independently coordinate agreed services and ensure hospitality activations are continuously maintained and developed.
- Support partners beyond contract signing and deliver a professional after-sales experience that builds long-term relationships.
- Assist in planning, organizing, and delivering exclusive hospitality and partner events.
- Be on site for home matches and special events, supporting operations from preparation through execution to follow-up.
- Work closely with internal teams and external service providers to continuously improve hospitality products and processes.
Your background
- You have completed a degree in sports management, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
- You bring solid experience in managing and advising business clients and ideally have prior exposure to sales-related work in hospitality, sponsorship, event management, or similar fields.
- You enjoy acquiring new partners, developing existing customer relationships, and spotting potential for new marketing opportunities.
- You present yourself in a customer-focused manner and are outgoing, communicative, and approachable.
- You work independently and reliably and are confident using digital applications and tools such as Salesforce, Navision, d.3, and other office/IT systems.
- Ideally, you are already familiar with hospitality areas, boxes, or event formats in the VELTINS-Arena or at other major events.
- You stay organized even in dynamic situations and bring the flexibility needed for home match days, evening events, and special occasions.
- You have a strong sense for service, sales, and long-term customer retention and know how to build and maintain professional relationships.
- You have a genuine connection to FC Schalke 04 and identify with the club, its people, emotions, and stories.
