Position Overview

Join our team as a Millwright, working onsite in Columbia, TN. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling industrial machinery to ensure smooth and safe operations. We are seeking individuals with a robust background in mechanical systems, an attention to detail, and a dedication to upholding safety and quality standards in all assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Disassemble and reassemble various mechanical machinery according to detailed specifications and safety guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical problems efficiently and accurately during daily operations.
• Conduct welding and fabrication tasks for repairs or upgrades as necessary.
• Utilize power tools, micrometers, bore gauges, and precision measuring equipment to assemble and maintain equipment.
• Operate forklifts and other industrial vehicles safely on the job site.
• Strictly adhere to safety standards and company protocols throughout all activities.
• Collaborate with team members or work independently in fast-paced industrial environments.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Millwright in industrial construction or maintenance, preferably in steel mills or similar environments.
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Proficient with oxyacetylene torches, mechanical assembly, and expert use of hand and power tools.
• Experience with welding techniques and best practices (fabrication skills are a plus).
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges.
• Strong attention to detail, high-level problem-solving skills, and a commitment to keeping work areas organized and safe.
