Job Overview

We are recruiting a Claim Advisor specializing in Accident Benefits under the Minor Injury Guideline (MIG) to join our Ontario team on a fully remote basis. The primary role of this Accident Benefit Claims Adjuster entails investigating, assessing, and settling accident benefit claims in compliance with the Insurance Act and relevant legislation. You will manage claims effectively by maintaining detailed records and coordinating closely with claimants and their representatives to ensure prompt and accurate resolutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate accident benefit claims to verify coverage and determine appropriate settlement actions.
  • Handle various claim types including medical rehabilitation and disability, coordinating strategies towards efficient resolutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive and precise files within the electronic claims system.
  • Communicate with claimants and handle accident benefit forms in accordance with legislation.
  • Perform additional assigned responsibilities to support departmental and corporate objectives.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong communication capabilities to correspond effectively with claimants and representatives while delivering excellent customer service.
  • Experience or background in legal or medical environments is advantageous.
  • Completion of post-secondary education or an equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years' experience in insurance claims adjusting or a similar position.
  • Progress towards or completion of the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.

Compensation

The expected annual salary range for this position is $59,900 to $93,725, subject to individual experience and qualifications.
