Role overview

HudsonGray is hiring a Mid-Senior Experiential Designer to strengthen its creative team. This position is suited to someone who thinks beyond standard graphic design and enjoys creating full brand experiences. The role involves shaping ideas, building presentation materials, developing environmental graphics, and working closely with strategists, producers, and 3D designers to bring live experiences to life.

Projects may include film premieres, consumer activations, sports events, press launches, and live broadcasts, so variety and fast-paced delivery are part of the day-to-day work.

Compensation and benefits

The compensation for this role is stated as $85k to $120k, along with a 401(k) benefit.

Key responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop experiential ideas from the first brief through final delivery
  • Take part in brainstorming sessions that turn strategy into engaging brand moments
  • Create polished pitch decks that clearly and persuasively present concepts
  • Contribute fresh perspective, cultural awareness, and awareness of current design trends
  • Design environmental graphics, event branding, print materials, and large-format assets for experiences
  • Ensure high creative quality is maintained throughout every phase of the design workflow
  • Produce artwork that is ready for production with strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Work alongside strategists, producers, and 3D designers to execute concepts
  • Coordinate with scenic fabricators and print vendors so the final production matches the design intent
  • Support construction drawings, rendering improvements, and fabrication documentation
  • Handle several projects at once while meeting deadlines and keeping standards high
  • Help resolve creative and production issues with practical, resourceful problem-solving

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in experiential marketing
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, plus working knowledge of SketchUp Pro
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Client-focused mindset with a strong service orientation
  • Comfort working as part of a small, collaborative team
  • Ability to stay effective in high-pressure situations
  • Capacity to take direction while also using sound creative judgment
  • Strong ability to juggle multiple assignments and manage workload well
  • Highly organized with a practical, resourceful approach
  • Understanding of environmental graphics, scenic fabrication, and print production
  • Ability to contribute ideas on trends, concepts, and vendors for event-based work
