Job description
Role Overview
The Merchandising Supervisor oversees merchandising activities across assigned outlets, making sure products are well displayed, consistently available, and aligned with company standards. The position plays a key role in improving sales, leading merchandising staff, and maintaining productive relationships with customers and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, train, and encourage a team of merchandisers.
- Create route or journey plans and keep them updated through regular monitoring.
- Track attendance, productivity, and performance KPIs for the team.
- Visit stores in the field and provide hands-on guidance and coaching.
- Ensure products are placed correctly according to planograms.
- Maintain shelf availability, correct pricing, and proper stock rotation using FIFO principles.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with sales and logistics teams.
- Make sure merchandising execution follows brand and display standards.
- Review sales figures and merchandising KPIs such as shelf share and out-of-stock rates.
- Spot opportunities to improve visibility and drive additional sales.
- Support promotions, in-store displays, and product launch activities.
- Develop strong working relationships with store managers and retail partners.
- Negotiate for display space and promotional placement opportunities.
- Handle and resolve merchandising or stock-related issues inside stores.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly merchandising reports.
- Use merchandising or sales systems and handheld devices to record and submit updates.
- Share field execution photos and market feedback with sales and management teams.
- Report market trends and competitor activities to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in FMCG merchandising, with a preference for frozen food products.
- Prior experience working with Saudi retail chains such as Panda, Danube, and Carrefour is mandatory.
- Exposure to discounters and other key retail accounts is required.

This role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia and is a full-time, onsite position.
