Job description

About LOEWE

Founded in Spain in 1846, LOEWE is approaching 180 years as a leading luxury house. Under the creative direction of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, the brand is known for a distinctive point of view shaped by craft, culture, a lively Spanish sensibility, and deep expertise in leather.

LOEWE’s heritage began as a collaborative workshop and has always placed high value on artisanal methods in design and production. That philosophy continues today through the brand’s focus on the role of craftsmanship in modern culture, its fresh take on historic artistic achievements, and its support for contemporary art, craft, and culture worldwide.

The company also emphasizes an inclusive environment where clients and teams are valued for their individuality. It promotes a workplace that welcomes all genders, ethnicities, socioeconomic backgrounds, and abilities, including people with disabilities, with the goal that everyone feels respected, included, and able to contribute fully.

Role Overview

This position offers the chance to join LOEWE during a period of strong growth. The Merchandising Assistant will provide administrative and organizational support to the merchandising function and will report to the Vice President of Merchandising, Americas. The role is based in New York City and follows a hybrid schedule, with time split between home and office according to team needs and the VP’s direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly reports and carry out related analysis as assigned.
  • Support day-to-day merchandising work, including creating, editing, and maintaining buy books and handling product lifestyle management processes.
  • Help develop merchandising and training tools for each season.
  • Work with Supply Chain teams to stay aligned on launch timing, client reservations, project milestones, and related updates.
  • Assist with merchandising communications for retail stores in coordination with the merchandising team, including product knowledge and other ad hoc needs.
  • Help prepare materials and coordination needed for buying sessions.
  • Take on special assignments from the manager, such as support for new store openings and store visits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in fashion, business, or a related area, or at least two years of relevant experience. The role requires the candidate to be based in New York City.

Strong computer skills are important, especially with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with Microstrategy and CEGID would be an added advantage.

A genuine interest in fashion and luxury goods is essential, along with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change frequently.

The role calls for someone who can spot issues, take initiative, and apply practical solutions. Strong teamwork skills are also needed to collaborate with both global and local colleagues.

Applicants should bring excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
