About the role

This is a senior commercial leadership opportunity for a Commercial Operations Director based in Spain. The position supports a partner organization and all applications, screening, and follow-up are handled by that employer. The role sits within a purpose-led company operating across EMEA and focuses on a specialist business unit in medical devices regulatory services.

You will own the commercial direction for the business, combining strategic planning with day-to-day execution. The objective is to accelerate revenue, deepen customer and stakeholder relationships, and expand the business across multiple markets. The role also requires strong operational discipline, including forecasting, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.

This is a high-impact position for a leader who can balance growth, team development, and execution excellence while working closely with regional and global stakeholders.

Core accountabilities

  • Set and carry out the commercial plan for the medical devices regulatory services unit across EMEA, keeping it aligned with growth and profitability goals.
  • Improve revenue, broaden market presence, and strengthen sales results through structured planning, delivery, and ongoing performance review.
  • Develop durable relationships with major customers, external partners, industry contacts, and regulatory stakeholders.
  • Spot new commercial opportunities, partnerships, and growth initiatives that support long-term expansion.
  • Guide, coach, and grow regional commercial teams while supporting capability development, engagement, and future leadership planning.
  • Manage forecasting, budget preparation, and business planning, with clear KPI oversight and performance management.
  • Work in close coordination with global and regional teams to ensure smooth delivery and a strong customer experience.
  • Drive operational excellence by improving processes and embedding continuous improvement in commercial operations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership, preferably in medical devices, regulatory services, or quality assurance.
  • A solid history of growing revenue, meeting commercial targets, and running successful business operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience building, managing, and developing high-performing international teams.
  • Strong commercial judgment, strategic thinking, and a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and business planning in a complex, multi-market setting.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, including work with senior executives.
  • Good understanding of market dynamics in regulated industries such as medical devices or healthcare-related services.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related area; an MBA or similar advanced degree is an advantage.

What’s offered

  • A competitive compensation structure with base pay and performance-linked incentives, adjusted by country.
  • A flexible remote-first working approach across the EMEA region.
  • A broad benefits package that includes healthcare coverage.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, leadership development, and international career progression.
  • Exposure to global markets and cross-functional collaboration across industries.
  • A mission-driven environment centered on innovation, sustainability, and social impact.
  • An inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages ongoing learning and advancement.
