Job description
About the company
Vitaco is a health and wellness business behind well-known supplement, health food, and sports nutrition brands in Australia and New Zealand. Its flagship labels include Nutra-Life, Healtheries, Aussie Bodies, and Musashi, and the company has been supporting healthier lifestyles for more than 100 years across Australia, New Zealand, and 30+ countries. The organisation employs more than 450 people across Australia, New Zealand, and Shanghai, with capabilities spanning manufacturing and customer service.
About the role
This part-time merchandising opportunity sits within the Wellington region, covering the Petone and Wellington area. The position is suited to someone who enjoys retail execution, building strong store relationships, and contributing to sales growth. Workdays are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with up to 16 hours per week. Early starts may occasionally be needed to set up displays before trading hours.
Key responsibilities
- Set up product displays and promotional material in-store.
- Support sales growth by taking orders proactively where needed.
- Spot opportunities that can improve business outcomes.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and sales colleagues.
What you should bring
Prior merchandising experience is helpful but not essential. The role calls for someone who is dependable, honest, and able to work independently. You should communicate well, pay close attention to detail, and be comfortable putting in the effort needed to get the job done. A genuine interest in the company’s products and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude will also be valued. Experience in FMCG, relationship management, and customer service would be an advantage.
Working arrangements
This is a local field-based role in the Wellington region. You will need your own vehicle and a valid driver’s licence that allows you to travel to and from shifts legally at the required times. Hours and days will be tied to the area assigned.
Benefits
- Competitive pay package.
- Discounts on company products.
- Wellness-focused initiatives.
Pre-employment checks
Anyone hired into this role must complete screening before starting, including numeracy and literacy assessment, medical and drug testing, and a criminal background check.
