Role Summary

The Medical Sales Representative will report to the Sales Manager in Singapore and will be responsible for promoting and selling Viatris products to healthcare professionals within an assigned territory. The role also includes managing key institutional accounts to support growth and strengthen market presence. This position blends field-based medical detailing with strategic account management.

What You Will Do

  • Achieve and surpass the sales goals assigned for the Viatris portfolio.
  • Present and promote the full range of products to healthcare professionals.
  • Carry out sales and marketing activities across territory accounts.
  • Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Manage key institutional and territory accounts with clear plans and objectives.
  • Build and preserve strong working relationships with decision makers at multiple levels.
  • Handle existing business activities such as contracts, quotations, tenders, and account relationships.
  • Support the placement of new products in hospitals and clinics.
  • Monitor account performance and prepare accurate sales, penetration, and market share forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and other key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Medical teams to execute account strategies and deliver results.
  • Contribute to negotiation efforts by presenting strong value-based solutions.
  • Collect market intelligence and customer feedback from the field and apply it across territories.
  • Understand customer requirements, market challenges, competition, and emerging trends.
  • Recommend practical, value-led solutions in coordination with internal teams.
  • Use selling and negotiation techniques confidently, independently, and effectively.
  • Share insights, lessons learned, and best practices during sales workshops and role-play sessions.
  • Be open to participating in pilots involving marketing, digital tools, analytics, and new working methods.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, ethical standards, local regulations, and internal SOPs at all times.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Science, Pharmacy, Business Administration, Biomedical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device sector.
  • Experience in Primary Care or Specialty Care is considered an advantage.
  • A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong self-motivation, initiative, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to work well as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, presentation, and communication abilities.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A valid Class 3 driving licence and preferably access to a car.
