Job description
Job Overview
Join Evergreen Healthcare Group as a Medical Records Coordinator at Portland Health and Rehabilitation Center. This position involves managing and uploading medical records using the facility's Electronic Health Records System to support resident care.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure confidentiality and protection of medical record information.
- Accurately file health records including resident charts, overflow, and discharge documents.
- Conduct audits to identify incomplete documentation and notify responsible staff for completion.
- Send documents to Center physicians for signatures and ensure timely follow-up.
- Track and manage timelines for returned signed records.
- Maintain the Master Admission & Discharge Register for tracking admissions and discharges.
- Verify completeness of the master resident face sheet information.
- Ensure Medicare residents have up-to-date certifications and re-certifications signed by physicians.
Qualifications and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience with Point Click Care software is preferred.
- At least one year of experience in medical records within long-term care preferred.
