About the Role
Join Medmark Occupational Healthcare as a Medical Receptionist where you will play a vital role in shaping the patient experience by leading reception operations in our busy practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome patients and visitors to the practice, ensuring a courteous and friendly environment.
- Manage patient check-ins, ensuring completion and confidential filing of all necessary documentation.
- Handle incoming phone calls professionally and address queries appropriately.
- Direct patient and client requests to the relevant personnel efficiently.
- Schedule appointments for patients, doctors, and nurses using internal scheduling systems.
- Maintain and update patient lists and retrieve patient notes as required.
- Organize and file medical notes, letters, test results, and other correspondence accurately.
- Register new patients into the computer system promptly.
- Order office supplies, stationery, and essential equipment to ensure smooth operations.
- Manage mail by opening and distributing post appropriately.
- Utilize the practice’s email and internet systems competently.
- Assist with the security operations including opening, closing, and securing the building daily.
- Support general administrative functions across the practice.
- Provide assistance to physicians by addressing queries.
- Perform any other relevant duties aligned with the role as assigned by the line manager.
Candidate Profile
- Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and politeness in all work aspects.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong IT proficiency, including all Microsoft Office applications.
- Demonstrate effective time management capabilities.
- Collaborate well within a team environment to ensure high-quality service.
- Pay keen attention to detail, especially when handling patient records.
- Work independently with motivation and enthusiasm.
- Adapt and be flexible with a positive "can do" attitude as needed.
