Role Overview
The Medical Doctor will serve as a full-time, on-site clinician at the Kolkata clinic. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive patient consultations, taking detailed medical histories, performing physical exams, ordering and evaluating diagnostic tests, and formulating precise diagnoses. The role involves developing and overseeing patient treatment plans, prescribing medicines, emphasizing preventive care, and delivering health education. Coordination with dental and other healthcare practitioners for holistic patient management is integral. Maintaining thorough medical records, adhering to clinic protocols and regulatory requirements, participating in case reviews, quality improvement efforts, and internal training sessions are key duties. The doctor must uphold the highest standards of professionalism, patient confidentiality, and safety while fostering a respectful, collaborative work environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possess a recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with current Indian medical registration or license.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in outpatient settings covering assessment, diagnosis, and management of typical acute and chronic illnesses.
- Comprehensive understanding of evidence-based medicine, clinical guidelines, and preventive health strategies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with dental and other healthcare team members to deliver integrated care.
- Strong communication skills marked by clarity and empathy to discuss diagnoses, treatment plans, and health education with a diverse patient base.
- Dedicated to ethical medical practice, patient confidentiality, and compliance with relevant clinical and safety standards.
- Proficient in accurate medical documentation using electronic or paper-based health record systems.
- Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site with dependable time management in Kolkata.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Bengali or Hindi is a significant advantage for patient interaction.
- Prior clinical or hospital experience in an urban setting similar to Kolkata is preferred.
