Job description
Role overview
This 12-month contract offers an opportunity for an experienced Medical Advisor or Senior MSL to join a major global pharmaceutical organisation in Sydney. The role sits within a strong Medical Affairs function and supports both marketed and pipeline products across oncology and immunology.
You will contribute to lifecycle management as well as pre-launch activity, with exposure to therapeutic areas such as breast cancer, lung cancer and immunology. The position also involves close partnership with Commercial, Market Access and other cross-functional teams, along with external scientific experts.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out Medical Affairs initiatives for both established and pipeline assets.
- Support scientific planning and launch preparation for upcoming oncology products.
- Organise and participate in advisory boards, KOL interactions and scientific discussions.
- Assess promotional and scientific content from a medical and scientific standpoint.
- Assist with medical planning and broader cross-functional projects.
- Represent the company at congresses, meetings and scientific forums.
Candidate profile
- Background as a Medical Advisor or Senior MSL within the Australian pharmaceutical sector.
- Oncology exposure is advantageous, though not mandatory.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Comfortable working in a proactive, collaborative and practical manner.
- Experience partnering with teams across Medical Affairs.
- Prior Medical Affairs experience in Australia or the wider ANZ region is required.
