Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out detailed inspections of mechanical installations including piping networks, HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting equipment, and general mechanical installations.
  • Verify that all mechanical work strictly adheres to approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Perform inspections upon receipt of materials and confirm the accuracy of associated documentation.
  • Supervise site activities and craftsmanship quality during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Compile comprehensive inspection reports, generate punch lists, and document non-conformance incidents as required.
  • Collaborate closely with QA/QC engineers, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure quality compliance.
  • Observe and validate testing and commissioning procedures on site.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and quality assurance documents.
  • Ensure all site operations comply with established safety and quality protocols.

Candidate Requirements

  • Possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Have a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical inspections or quality assurance/control roles.
  • Familiarity with international standards such as ASME, API, ASTM, NFPA, and ISO is essential.
  • Capable of reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Well-versed in mechanical systems, construction methodologies, and inspection techniques.
  • Strong abilities in communication, report writing, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and other reporting software tools.
  • Possession of certifications like CSWIP, API, ASNT, or ISO 9001 is advantageous.
