Job description
Role overview
This position is within engineering and facilities at a luxury hospitality property in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on keeping HVAC, refrigeration, air quality, and related mechanical systems operating reliably while supporting a high standard of guest comfort and building performance.
What you will do
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, air conditioning, air quality control, and refrigeration systems.
- Carry out daily checks of the mechanical plant and help ensure stable equipment performance.
- Track and regulate building temperature levels as required.
- Review energy and utility consumption and help identify opportunities for better efficiency.
- Calibrate controls, gauges, meters, and similar equipment to keep them accurate.
- Install, assemble, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems and electronic wiring.
- Build, fit, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, and related components.
- Support routine maintenance for pools and spas.

- Observe all company, safety, and security procedures at all times.
- Escalate maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries promptly.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential information and company assets.
- Greet guests in line with service standards and respond proactively to their needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
- Build productive working relationships and respond constructively to feedback and concerns.
- Maintain quality standards and contribute ideas to improve efficiency, productivity, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness.
- Be able to work in demanding physical conditions, including overhead work, confined or elevated areas, uneven or slippery surfaces, stairs, ramps, and ladders.
- Handle objects of different sizes and weights and assist with moving items over 100 pounds.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
A technical, trade, or vocational school qualification is preferred. The role requires at least 3 years of relevant work experience and does not require prior supervisory experience. Required certifications and licenses include EPA Universal Certification, a valid driver's license, and HVAC certification.
