About the Role
A healthcare pharmacy group in Riyadh is looking for a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee pharmaceutical purchasing, vendor coordination, and stock optimization across its pharmacy network and medical complex outlets. This position is centered on improving profitability through better buying decisions, stronger supplier performance, and reliable product availability.
What You Will Do
- Build and implement purchasing plans that support business expansion and stronger financial results.
- Handle vendor partnerships, commercial discussions, and agreement management.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, rebates, contracts, and settlement terms.
- Improve inventory efficiency, cut down on expiries, and raise stock turnover.
- Guide category strategies that help increase sales and improve margins.
- Review supplier and product metrics to support informed, data-led decisions.
- Work closely with medical, finance, operations, and marketing teams.
- Maintain adherence to SFDA requirements and company procedures.
- Prepare procurement dashboards, KPI updates, and support team capability development.
Candidate Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical procurement is needed.
- Background in pharmacy chains or healthcare organizations is essential.
- A well-established supplier network across Saudi Arabia is important.
- Strong ability to negotiate and deliver cost savings is expected.
- Advanced knowledge of inventory control and demand planning is required.
- Comfort using Excel, ERP platforms, and procurement software is necessary.
Preferred Background
- An MBA with a focus on Finance, Supply Chain, or Operations is preferred.
- Experience working with medical complexes or specialty clinics is an advantage.
- Experience in category management and commercial performance is highly valued.
