Job description
Role Overview
The Material Planner will be responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw and packaging materials aligned with the production plans. This includes managing inventory levels, coordinating material call-offs, monitoring supplier deliveries, and adhering to supplier order policies such as lead times and minimum order quantities.
Main Responsibilities
- Execute weekly material requirements planning (MRP) based on agreed production schedules.
- Generate reports for the Planning Manager and involved teams.
- Manage daily call-offs and track delivery progress.
- Maintain material stock levels at defined target points and update these quarterly through stock modeling.
- Lead monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with suppliers to solve operational challenges and promote continuous process improvement.
- Coordinate packaging material usage during product innovations and promotions to minimize waste and ensure timely availability.
- Maintain communication channels with suppliers and the Supply Management team regarding supplier performance.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives in partnership with the Supply Management team.
- Ensure On Time In Full (OTIF) delivery through Supply Network Collaboration (SNC) implementation.
- Maintain accurate system master data and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications and Experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Supply Planning, Material Planning, or Import Planning.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Relevant supply chain certifications such as APICS are advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems, specifically Sales & Distribution (S&D), Materials Management (MM), Master Production Schedule (MPS), and Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) modules.
Preferred Background
- Experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector.
- Proficiency in SAP is essential; familiarity with Kinaxis is beneficial.
- Exposure to factory operations.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerBI.
Stakeholder Interaction
Internally, frequent collaboration with logistics, planning functions, supply management, research and development, finance, IT, and factory teams is expected. Externally, the role involves working closely with packaging and raw material suppliers.
