Job description

Role overview

Sokin is hiring a commercially minded marketing professional to help launch and expand its footprint in Australia. The position is based in Sydney or Melbourne and reports to the Head of Marketing APAC. It starts as a remote role and is expected to move into a hybrid working model.

This opportunity suits someone with strong B2B marketing experience who can run local campaigns, coordinate events, support Sales and Partnerships, maintain relationships with industry associations, and adapt global marketing activity for the Australian market.

You will work with the global marketing function and local commercial teams to strengthen brand visibility, support demand generation, and create a consistent market presence across Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement marketing initiatives for Australia in line with global marketing direction and regional business priorities.
  • Adapt global campaigns, messages, and creative assets so they resonate with Australian audiences.
  • Design and run campaigns that build brand awareness, generate leads, engage sales prospects, and contribute to pipeline growth.
  • Manage the Australian events programme, covering conferences, sponsorships, roundtables, webinars, partner-led events, and sales activation activities.
  • Handle event operations end to end, including supplier management, logistics, collateral, invitations, on-site delivery, and post-event follow-up.
  • Partner with Sales and Partnerships teams on prospecting, account engagement, proposals, events, and campaign follow-through.
  • Prepare market-ready sales and marketing content such as presentations, brochures, one-pagers, event materials, landing pages, emails, and social media assets.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Australian associations, industry groups, event partners, and sponsorship vendors.
  • Measure and share performance results for campaigns and events, including leads, meetings, engagement, pipeline impact, and return on investment.
  • Set up the workflows, supplier network, and reporting structure needed to grow marketing activity in a new market.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in B2B marketing, campaign marketing, field marketing, events, or sales enablement.
  • Proven experience delivering campaigns and events that contribute to commercial goals.
  • Strong planning and coordination skills, with the ability to juggle several priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable collaborating closely with Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience tailoring campaigns, assets, and messaging for a specific market.
  • Excellent written communication and a sharp eye for detail.
  • A commercial approach with an understanding of how marketing drives pipeline and revenue.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, emerging-market environment.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, SaaS, logistics, trade, or another B2B sector is an advantage.
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the jurisdiction where they are applying.

Success measures

  • A well-defined marketing and events calendar for Australia.
  • Local campaigns and events delivered across Sydney, Melbourne, and priority sectors.
  • Strong practical support provided to Sales and Partnerships teams.
  • Australian-localised collateral and campaign materials prepared for market use.
  • Constructive relationships established with relevant associations and industry bodies.
  • Clear reporting on activity, results, leads, meetings, and wider commercial contribution.
