Job description

About the Role

FordHarrison LLP is actively seeking a Marketing & Events Coordinator to become part of our dynamic Marketing & Business Development Department. Our team prides itself on a collaborative atmosphere, strong interdepartmental partnerships, and long-standing employee commitment. This hybrid position is based in Atlanta, combining in-office presence with remote work flexibility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage significant projects, work alongside attorneys and business development staff across the firm, and thrive within a culture that embraces innovation, teamwork, and continuous advancement. We value individuals who are inquisitive, proactive, tech-savvy, and keen to enhance processes and elevate the firm’s marketing and client outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the creation and production of firm marketing materials such as brochures, business cards, reference guides, invitations, and holiday cards, coordinating print and distribution alongside the Marketing Assistant.
  • Plan and schedule conferences and events both virtually and in-person, including national sponsorship engagements.
  • Craft, maintain, and oversee engaging content across social media platforms including Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
  • Track social media trends, gauge audience interaction, and analyze competitor activity to find enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead content development and update processes for the firm’s website.
  • Administer the firm’s CRM system, manage onboarding for new attorneys, recommend system improvements, and supervise data upkeep with assistant support.
  • Utilize AI tools to augment content creation, research, event management, and overall marketing workflows, exercising careful verification and protecting confidential information.
  • Assess media contacts to optimize press placement opportunities, author and distribute press releases, and maintain media relationships.
  • Ensure attorney presentations comply with copyright regulations.
  • Research marketing technologies, AI applications, third-party PR and marketing services, and advise on resource investments based on value potential.
  • Oversee advertising strategies, including evaluating opportunities, recommending plans, and designing/submitting ads to publications.
  • Support senior marketing leadership — Chief Client Development Officer, Marketing Manager, and Business Development Managers — on major firm initiatives.

Requirements

  • A college degree in marketing or a related field with practical marketing experience ideally in legal or professional service settings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, AI-driven productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT, and CRM platforms.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of independently managing projects efficiently and demonstrating excellent written communication and client service skills.
  • Experience leading substantial content marketing and event projects from conception to execution.
  • Ability to critically evaluate media, advertising, and marketing options to provide strategic advice.
  • Adaptable and able to juggle multiple responsibilities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Sound judgment and discretion when making recommendations and decisions on behalf of the firm.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all external firm communications including press releases, proposals, and legal alerts.
  • Willingness to undertake several multi-day domestic trips annually.
