Job description

About the role

Moët Hennessy is seeking a Marketing Director for the Australia and New Zealand cluster, based in Sydney and reporting to the Managing Director, ANZ. In this leadership role, you will guide the development of the brand portfolio across both markets, shape marketing priorities for the cluster, and help deliver sustainable growth as part of the ANZ Executive Committee.

The role calls for a collaborative, commercially minded leader who can balance brand ambition with local market realities. You will help translate maison strategy into effective market execution, strengthen consumer focus across the organisation, and support the broader transformation of the business.

Strategic marketing leadership

  • Steer medium- to long-term marketing planning for ANZ in line with brand ambition, business priorities, and the company’s North Star.
  • Create and deliver brand initiatives and campaigns for Australia and New Zealand that build reach and increase impact through partnership with Maisons, commercial teams, and consumer engagement partners.
  • Deepen consumer centricity by turning research and market insights into actions that reflect changing buying behaviours.
  • Adapt Maison strategies and guidance into local marketing and business plans that stay relevant to consumers and customers in the ANZ cluster.
  • Encourage strong cross-functional collaboration across the cluster and operate effectively in a matrix structure.
  • Represent ANZ with the Maisons and the wider organisation, sharing input and feedback on key priorities and initiatives.
  • Contribute as a strategic partner to the Managing Director and ExCo colleagues, helping shape business decisions and transformation roadmaps beyond the immediate marketing remit.

Brand strategy and marketing execution

  • Lead the creation of marketing and brand strategies for ANZ with a strong understanding of customer and consumer behaviour across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Refine annual brand plans in alignment with the Managing Director, ANZ ExCo, Maison priorities, and the ANZ North Star.
  • Ensure programs and campaigns are delivered on schedule, within plan, and within budget.
  • Manage external agencies to achieve strong brand and marketing outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators tied to brand, commercial, and consumer goals.
  • Strengthen digital consumer engagement across the ANZ markets.

Business performance and commercial partnership

  • Partner with Commercial and Finance teams to identify opportunities and shape growth strategies across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Oversee the customer marketing agenda and team so that customer plans remain aligned to brand direction, commercial objectives, and strong execution across key channels.
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to interpret business issues, changing consumption trends, and market shifts, then adapt plans accordingly.
  • Protect and grow brand performance by actively managing pricing, trade offers, and A&P spend.
  • Prepare budget and latest estimate submissions with Finance, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.

Capability building and leadership

  • Model LVMH leadership behaviours and foster a culture built on performance, creativity, and teamwork.
  • Attract, retain, and develop strong marketing talent, with attention to succession planning and internal progression.
  • Coach and support the ANZ marketing teams through regular reviews, feedback, and development conversations tied to strategy, business goals, and leadership expectations.
  • Work with the Managing Director, HR, and other leaders to review and improve the marketing organisation’s structure, capability, and career pathways.

Profile

The business is looking for an experienced and inspiring marketing leader who can operate at pace, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strong outcomes in a complex market environment.

  • 12 or more years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams, ideally within ANZ or similarly complex markets.
  • Strong exposure to luxury or prestige brands is highly desirable.
  • Solid expertise in customer-led brand and digital marketing, including consumer research, public relations, and production.
  • A data-oriented and analytical approach, paired with excellent presentation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to solve problems creatively, work well under pressure, manage ambiguity, and adapt to change.
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organisation and externally.
  • Commercial judgement and cultural awareness, with the ability to navigate the nuances of the Australian and New Zealand markets.
  • High energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong team mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
