Role Overview
Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, the Marketing Copywriter crafts both long-form and short-form content such as website copy, brochures, emails, case studies, and blog articles. The goal is to empower teachers with tools for successful curriculum implementation, highlight educator perspectives, and share compelling data-driven successes. The role collaborates with multiple internal departments, including marketing, product, research, sales, and customer success, to produce clear messaging that supports marketing initiatives at various levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging, precise content tailored for educators at classroom and administrative levels across diverse formats including digital and print media, as well as internal communications.
- Interpret research data, program outcomes, and educator feedback to generate accessible and persuasive narratives.
- Conduct customer and educator interviews to gather material for case studies and success stories.
- Maintain consistent application of Great Minds' brand voice, mission, and messaging across all content.
- Manage multiple writing projects concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met and proactively addressing scheduling conflicts.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, subject matter experts, and marketing collaborators throughout content development.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years’ professional writing experience, preferably within educational or mission-driven organizations.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills adaptable to different audiences and formats.
- Ability to distill complex information, including research and analytics, into clear, compelling content.
- Excellent organizational skills to juggle various projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience interviewing or direct engagement with customers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management software, such as Smartsheet, is beneficial.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Education, or a related discipline is required.
Additional Information
This position is fully remote and US-based. Candidates must submit a cover letter and resume to be considered. Employment will include a background check process. Salary ranges from $64,000 to $70,000 annually, variable based on location, experience, skills, and equity considerations; benefits and incentives are not covered in this figure.
