Motto Motto is bringing a fresh take on Japanese dining in Australia, building on the success of the award-winning Sono restaurant. The brand combines high-quality Japanese flavours with a fast-casual format, with a strong emphasis on quality, creativity and guest experience. Its goal is to grow into Australia’s preferred local Japanese destination.
The Role
This position suits a creative, energetic marketer who can help deliver digital campaigns, content development, design work, local area marketing and customer communications across the Motto Motto brand.
With the business expanding quickly, the marketing function is growing to support new store openings, product introductions, an expanding membership program and broader brand-building efforts across the country. Reporting to the National Marketing Manager, you will help bring promotions and campaigns to life across digital platforms, restaurants and customer touchpoints. This opportunity is well suited to someone at the early stage of their marketing career who already has a solid grounding in content, design and digital marketing and wants to develop further in a busy, growth-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create branded marketing materials for online, in-store and promotional activity.
- Produce engaging content such as menus, motion graphics and written assets.
- Help deliver national campaigns, special offers and new product launches.
- Update website content and support email, push notification and other customer communication activity.
- Contribute to the MyMotto Membership Program through CRM and loyalty-focused marketing work.
- Coordinate digital marketing initiatives across several channels and external partners.
- Work with tools and platforms including Redcat, TalkBox, Squarespace and delivery partners.
- Support local area marketing (SLAM) campaigns and restaurant activation activity.
- Track campaign results and prepare reports and insights.
- Assist with event planning and delivery to increase awareness and guest visits.
- Support franchising initiatives, including lead generation, owner-operator support and conferences.
About You
You are enthusiastic about marketing, design and creating memorable customer experiences. You like turning ideas into practical content and creative assets across digital channels, and you can stay organised while balancing several priorities at once. You take initiative, work well in a fast-moving environment and are keen to keep learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills are important, and a genuine interest in food, hospitality, franchising and brand growth will help you succeed in this role.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate brings 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, content or design. A tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Design or a related field is required. You should have strong capability in content creation, graphic design and digital marketing, along with experience developing assets for both digital and print use.
Advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, is expected. Experience with Canva and video editing tools is considered an advantage. You should also understand email marketing, CRM and website content management. Experience in hospitality, retail, franchising or QSR brands is helpful but not mandatory. Familiarity with platforms such as Squarespace, Redcat or TalkBox is also viewed positively.
