Job description
About POPLIFE
POPLIFE began in 1999 as a weekly gathering created to bring together friends and collaborators in art, music, and culture. Over time, it developed into an independent agency focused on blending brand goals with authentic creative thinking to produce memorable live experiences. The company is independently owned, with offices in Miami and New York City, plus activation teams working across the United States.
Role Overview
POPLIFE is hiring a strategic Market Manager to help lead and expand important client partnerships, including a major alcohol beverage supplier. This position centers on building and maintaining local client relationships while planning and executing field programs across Central and North Florida, including on-premise managed bar events and off-premise samplings.
The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor and practical problem-solver, bringing knowledge of field marketing, cultural shifts, and the spirits and cocktail space. This role is best suited to someone with agency experience across lifestyle, spirits, and food and beverage brands, along with a strong record of guiding teams to deliver innovative programs that drive results. The position requires someone who can move comfortably between account leadership, strategy, and production while managing multiple clients, projects, and part-time staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main agency contact for local clients and build long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Share proactive, insight-led recommendations that support business goals and uncover growth opportunities.
- Handle hiring, training, and scheduling for promotional staff.
- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate on-premise and off-premise programs across multiple markets.
- Coach and support local part-time staff while encouraging teamwork and accountability across agency groups.
- Create program assets such as decks, playbooks, training guides, presentations, and operating documents.
- Plan staffing, scheduling, and execution for local activations.
- Lead the growth, management, and staffing of client programming.
- Source, recruit, onboard, and manage outside resources, staffing partners, and vendors needed to deliver programs.
- Build workback schedules and communication plans so milestones and deliverables stay on track.
- Run post-program reviews and performance reports covering KPIs, budgets, consumer engagement, and ROI.
- Translate results into clear insights, lessons learned, and optimization ideas for future programs.
- Use market data and trend awareness to guide strategy and improve both client work and agency offerings.
- Oversee programs from concept through completion while maintaining strong operational quality and execution.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years of experience in field marketing and staffing, with the ability to help turn creative concepts into reality alongside production teams.
- Strong communication skills and quick, practical problem-solving ability.
- A demonstrated history of client leadership and account growth.
- Background in an agency setting, with a highly organized and process-driven approach.
- Hands-on staffing experience is required.
- Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, motivate, mentor, and retain high-performing team members.
- Experience in beverage and alcohol brands is required.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams is required.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to deliver persuasive presentations.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, follow through, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel and attend events in person.
- A strong interest in culture, including music, fashion, art, and lifestyle.
Compensation and Travel
The salary for this role is $65,000 USD, with final compensation adjusted based on experience and location.
Expected travel is 15% to 20% within Florida.
