About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to be a key player in developing and refining manufacturing and service delivery processes at a global leader in engineering and manufacturing solutions. The focus is on planning, designing, and managing integrated systems to optimize performance, reliability, maintainability, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness, especially within a medical manufacturing environment. The role targets ongoing process improvement, quality enhancement, and adherence to strict compliance and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Act as project leader for initiatives aimed at reducing waste through established Manufacturing Engineering procedures.
  • Lead complex activities, including process simulations, operational research, and cost model analyses.
  • Validate time standards determined by the Manufacturing Engineering team for accuracy.
  • Track and communicate key engineering metrics for specific customers or areas.
  • Map core operational processes for continuous improvement activities.
  • Standardize configurations of SAP and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Develop project quotations for internal and external stakeholders within your assigned area or customer group.
  • Manage process integration for new product launches.
  • Mentor, coach, and train junior engineers within the department to facilitate team growth and expertise.
  • Support and perform essential duties performed at lower levels of Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Promote process standardization throughout the site to comply with both global and site-specific directives.
  • Strengthen Lean manufacturing by solidifying data integrity and process foundations for company-wide improvement efforts.
  • Follow all security and procedural policies of the company.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in alignment with company needs.

Key Requirements

  • Solid grounding in a range of manufacturing engineering tools, including work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facility and workstation design, and operations research.
  • Understanding of both the global strategic direction and unique capabilities of the site.
  • Exceptional skills in financial analysis and analytical problem-solving.
  • Successful track record in leading change initiatives, managing continuous improvement, and executing cost-reduction programs.
  • Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High proficiency in using Microsoft Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Experience or familiarity with Medical ISO 13485 standards and FDA inspection protocols is a strong plus.
