Job description

Role Overview

The Integrated Marketing & Communications Manager position is based within the Brand, Marketing and Communications Division of the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). This team is responsible for establishing Singapore’s reputation globally as a leading business hub, while also communicating EDB’s achievements in investment facilitation and job creation to domestic audiences.

The role demands a strategic and creative thinker with strong writing abilities, capable of managing diverse marketing and communication activities. The manager will collaborate closely with various EDB departments to develop engaging narratives, oversee the production of communication materials and content, and coordinate multi-channel campaigns aimed at improving search visibility, raising awareness, correcting misunderstandings, and motivating stakeholder actions.

Examples of tactics include digital initiatives, event-driven activations, media relations, producing instructive content to help businesses engage with Singapore’s ecosystem, and forming partnerships with media publishers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns aligned with EDB’s strategic priorities, maximizing their effectiveness through combined earned, owned, paid, and partnered media channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including government bodies, companies, private sector entities, and media) to ensure messaging consistency and brand integrity across all campaigns.
  • Lead content creation and creative direction for compelling marketing assets and advertisements that resonate with intended audiences, working with both internal units and external agencies.
  • Develop communication materials and execute initiatives that enhance awareness of Singapore’s value propositions and core industries, including media outreach emphasizing investment and employment successes.
  • Manage digital marketing efforts and paid media campaigns, leveraging data analytics to monitor performance, enhance digital presence, and refine future marketing strategies.
  • Oversee project management aspects such as timelines, vendor coordination, and budget compliance to ensure timely campaign delivery.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses between four to eight years of experience in marketing or communications, in either public or private sectors; experience in B2B marketing and familiarity with marketing technologies and data-driven optimization are desirable.
  • Demonstrates a solid interest in geopolitical, business, and social developments, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify key issues and formulate appropriate marketing communications solutions.
  • Experience leveraging social media platforms to boost content reach and audience engagement.
  • Excellent written communication, verbal articulation, and presentation capabilities.
  • Capable of working autonomously while effectively collaborating across multiple teams.
