Manager/Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Overview

Our partner company is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis based in the United States. This role offers a significant opportunity for a finance expert to influence financial strategy within a fast-growing technology and AI-driven organization. The position entails owning critical FP&A functions, developing sophisticated financial models, and delivering actionable insights that inform executive decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the financial planning and analysis function, including forecasting, budgeting, long-term planning, and scenario modeling.
• Develop and upkeep advanced driver-based financial models to support decision-making, strategic initiatives, and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with business and operational leaders to interpret performance metrics into financial insights and strategic recommendations.
• Lead monthly financial close activities with accounting teams, including variance and revenue analyses as well as management reporting.
• Prepare clear, accurate, and strategically focused financial reports for executives, investors, and board members.
• Assist with corporate development efforts such as valuation, due diligence, and financial modeling related to transactions.
• Analyze service-based economics including utilization, project margins, revenue timing, and headcount-related financial results.
• Drive efforts to automate, standardize, and scale FP&A workflows to boost efficiency and reporting quality.
• Provide mentorship to finance team members and contribute to the maturity and growth of the FP&A function.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; MBA, CPA, or CFA credentials are advantageous.
• At least 6 years of FP&A experience for Manager level or 8+ years for Senior Manager, preferably in public companies, technology sectors, SaaS, professional services, or high-growth environments.
• Proficient in advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and Excel expertise.
• Familiarity with financial planning software such as Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, or comparable tools, plus BI and reporting platforms.
• Deep understanding of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and public company financial reporting standards.
• Experience in pricing analysis, margin assessment, business performance, and operational economics.
• Proven ability to independently manage end-to-end processes, balancing detail orientation with strategic insight.
• Strong communication skills capable of simplifying complex financial information for executives and non-financial stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, private equity environments, or rapidly expanding companies is highly valued.
• A proactive and hands-on approach with a focus on creating and enhancing scalable financial processes in dynamic settings.
