Job description

Role overview

In this position within the HR Strategy and Leadership Division, you will help shape the Ministry’s leadership pipeline by identifying, developing, and engaging senior appointment holders. The role also involves improving current career development initiatives so that succession planning and leadership growth remain strong.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee the selection, appointment, and development of officers for senior leadership roles, and update related strategies or policies when needed.
  • Study appointment results and movement patterns, including inflow and outflow trends, to design more focused approaches that reinforce leadership pipelines.
  • Prepare and deliver insights, conclusions, and recommendations to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders, including senior officers and external agencies, to support succession planning for key leadership positions.
  • Assist in the strategic and professional development of senior appointment holders, including spotting and nominating suitable officers for leadership programmes.

What the Ministry is looking for

  • An organised, detail-oriented, and dependable team player with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • The capacity to juggle several deadlines at once, work independently, and remain effective in a fast-moving environment.
  • Good analytical ability, sound reasoning, and a strong instinct for policy-related matters.
  • Comfort with data handling and analysis, together with strong working knowledge of MS Office tools.
