Role Overview
The Advertising organization is building a high-performing ads business, and this position supports the APAC Sales Operations function to strengthen growth through better people, systems, tools, and processes. The role is part of the APAC Market Planning and Operations group and reports to the Senior Manager, Sales Operations.
Planning and Strategy
- Serve as a strategic partner to country sales leaders and sales managers, helping sharpen business priorities.
- Drive planning and execution for the China export advertising business, working with sales leadership to identify opportunities, address the needs of Chinese outbound advertisers, and create scalable go-to-market approaches.
- Support planning activities such as customer segmentation, annual budgeting, forecasting, portfolio management, territory planning, and sales plan development.
- Help roll out new sales programs and operating processes that improve sales effectiveness and efficiency.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with country sales leaders and cross-functional teams as a trusted advisor.
- Lead change management for new initiatives by understanding user needs, handling concerns, troubleshooting issues, and driving process improvements.
- Work with sales and partner teams to align on strategy and translate it into execution plans.
Revenue Acceleration
- Collaborate with sales, account management, and other functions on projects that increase revenue across the market and APAC region.
- Identify new business opportunities and commercial insights that can unlock growth.
- Own critical country and regional initiatives from start to finish.
- Develop business cases for initiatives such as new buying methods, partnerships, and process changes.
Analytics and Insights
- Turn quantitative and qualitative analysis into practical recommendations for sales performance improvement.
- Build and maintain sales inputs, forecasts, and pipeline tracking for the APAC advertising business.
- Lead performance and business-state discussions with full ownership and subject matter depth.
- Run regular country and regional pipeline and business reviews.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings at least 10 years of experience in advertising or related fields, with a background in Sales Operations. Strong knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem is important, including agency and advertiser structures, agency-led and direct sales models, and different buying methods. Experience supporting or expanding China export advertising business is highly valued, especially with Chinese outbound brands in sectors such as e-commerce, automotive, fintech, or travel and their agency networks. The role also requires a strong ability to work with country sales leaders, account management leaders, and cross-functional partners.
Hands-on analytical capability is essential, including independently sourcing, analyzing, and visualizing data to create useful insights for sales leadership. Advanced spreadsheet expertise is required, and SQL knowledge is preferred. The candidate should be able to manage projects independently, drive ads revenue, balance detail with strategic thinking, influence decisions without direct reporting authority, and prioritize multiple initiatives effectively. Creativity, innovation, and a collaborative mindset are important. Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required.
