About the Role
Okta is seeking a Sales Development Manager to lead its ASEAN & India team from Singapore. This is a high-impact leadership position reporting to the Senior Director for APJ, with responsibility for shaping the regional go-to-market approach and building a strong pipeline for future revenue. The role calls for a fast-moving, execution-focused leader who can balance strategy, coaching, operational discipline, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will guide inbound and outbound sales development efforts, improve productivity through process design and AI-enabled tools, and help the team scale with quality. A key part of the role is developing a people-first culture that supports accountability, performance, and internal career growth.
Core Responsibilities
- Own and run the full sales development strategy for ASEAN & India, with the goal of achieving ambitious pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Create and expand sophisticated outbound programs that are tailored by persona and guided by data and intent signals.
- Raise the quality of messaging and outreach across the team while maintaining high standards.
- Improve the GTM technology stack, including SFDC, Outreach, and AI tools, to support better productivity and scale.
- Work with RevOps on territory planning, capacity modeling, and forecasting.
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-performing SDR team.
- Build clear growth paths that support internal movement into AE and broader GTM roles.
- Oversee SDR-to-AE handoffs and partner with Marketing to strengthen lead flow and conversion SLAs.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations to improve account planning and lead-to-revenue conversion.
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in Sales Development or Inside Sales.
- 3–6+ years of leadership experience, preferably including management of managers.
- Demonstrated success in building outbound motion and generating strong pipeline in complex B2B environments.
- A hands-on leadership style that combines coaching, execution, and strategic planning.
- Strong analytical ability, with skill in turning activity data into practical business insight.
- Willingness to follow a 4-day in-office work schedule.
