Job Overview
We seek a Manager for Programming & Creative Development to spearhead Teen Vogue's digital video content evolution. You will partner with video and editorial teams to conceive and execute premium content designed to engage global social media audiences while expanding the brand's digital video intellectual property. This New York City-based role reports directly to the Director of Programming and Creative Development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions to develop innovative video series and standalone projects.
- Pitch creative video concepts across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to populate the programming schedule.
- Ensure alignment with editorial goals and key performance indicators by producing five social videos weekly.
- Oversee production including directing and managing shoots featuring celebrities and editorial talent.
- Handle on-site equipment setup, capture, and breakdown for weekly video shoots.
- Represent Teen Vogue by conducting interviews at live events such as red carpets and premieres.
- Produce self-filmed high-quality videos using iPhones combined with Adobe Premiere editing capabilities.
- Manage studio shoots utilizing production equipment and demonstrate familiarity with Sony camera technology.
- Generate fresh ideas for existing and new digital video pilots tailored for various social platforms.
- Establish consistent visual standards for video series in collaboration with brand stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with editorial teams to nurture both in-house and external talent.
- Monitor video performance data to adjust creative direction, enhancing audience engagement and advertiser appeal.
- Work cross-functionally to integrate video content with editorial, event, and major brand initiatives.
- Provide assistance for Vogue’s video and social media production as needed.
Requirements
- Between 3 to 5 years of professional experience in digital media production.
- Proven experience interviewing high-profile figures, including celebrities and subject matter experts.
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere for editing short-form social videos enhanced with motion graphics.
- Basic competence with video equipment and iPhone filming techniques.
- Strong familiarity with digital video landscapes and social media platforms, understanding what drives content success on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Adept at balancing strategic long-term content goals with immediate business priorities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and consistently meet deadlines.
Compensation & Additional Information
The anticipated salary falls between 84000 and 106000 USD annually. Compensation is based on factors including skills, experience, and education. The role also includes a comprehensive benefits package and potential discretionary bonuses. This position is recognized as a guild role.
