Job description
About the Role
Spotify is seeking a Manager, Music Publishing Operations to join its Music Publishing Operations team. In this position, you will oversee the onboarding of music publishing licensors and provide ongoing operational support for Spotify’s rights management systems, helping maintain strong execution across a worldwide video licensing environment.
You will act as an important contact for partners in the US and outside the US. The role calls for close collaboration across functions, comfort with technical systems, and a solid grasp of rights-data processes so that information stays accurate, aligned, and scalable.
This opportunity is part of the work shaping the next stage of video publishing operations at Spotify, with a focus on delivering excellent partner experiences and preserving the reliability of rights management infrastructure.
What You Will Do
- Guide publishing partners through setup on Spotify’s rights management tools and help create an onboarding journey that is smooth and scalable.
- Review, diagnose, and resolve partner issues connected to rights data, claims, and product behavior.
- Own workflows tied to conflicts, ensuring rights data is aligned correctly and disputes are handled efficiently across rights holders.
- Support and refine operational procedures in partner-facing systems, including onboarding, issue handling, and feature launches.
- Track and assist third-party data movement to keep operations dependable and consistent.
- Administer licensor and market settings while ensuring proper setup, governance, and continued compliance.
- Spot opportunities to improve tools, documentation, and workflows that strengthen partner experience and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with Legal, Licensing, Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to support music publishing operations at a global scale.
Who You Are
- You bring experience in music publishing, rights management, licensing operations, or a closely related area.
- You have supported external partner onboarding and developed effective relationships with stakeholders across several markets or regions.
- You are comfortable working in technical systems and investigating data, workflow, or configuration issues to find workable solutions.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving ability, along with a sharp focus on detail and data quality.
- You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- You work well in collaborative, cross-functional settings and enjoy solving complex operational problems with others.
- You stay organized, adapt quickly, and can balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- You are motivated to build efficient processes and deliver a strong experience for partners and stakeholders.
