Job description
Role overview
This position is based in Singapore and focuses on investigations related to non-compliance with IMDA directions, licence conditions, content codes, and the legislation under its purview.
Key duties
- Examine suspected breaches of directions, licence terms, content codes, and relevant laws administered by IMDA.
- Assess contraventions and recommend suitable penalties, then carry out the necessary follow-up steps.
- For matters that proceed to court, prepare draft charges, statements of facts, and investigation papers, and support external legal counsel in case preparation.
- Attend court hearings and provide testimony as a prosecution witness when required.
- Contribute to the development and review of penalty frameworks where needed.
- Support periodic reviews, help design and implement a case management system, and review existing investigation processes and workflows as required.
Candidate profile
- Applicants should bring around 5 years of experience in investigations, regulatory work, legal work, and/or analysis, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
- Hands-on background in investigations, especially as an investigating officer, with familiarity in gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, recording statements, and preparing investigation papers.
- Exposure to digital forensics is useful, though an interest in learning these skills is also acceptable.
- Strong capability in analysis, written communication, and verbal communication is essential.
- A careful and detail-oriented working style is important.
