Role overview
This position supports the Network Project Office (NPO) Division with grants administration and helps ensure activities comply with IMDA’s grant governance requirements.
Key work areas
You will help administer grants and related support schemes that enable the industry to strengthen its ability to detect and disable scams and online harm content.
Core responsibilities
- Work with both internal teams and external parties such as telecom operators and internet service providers to assess current capabilities and identify the additional resources needed to develop new counter-scam and online harm capabilities.
- Assist in developing proposals needed to obtain funding for grants or similar support programmes.
- Check claims that are submitted and confirm they meet the intended objectives as well as the terms and conditions of the grant or assistance programme.
- Help manage NPO’s budget and other finance-related responsibilities.
What the team is looking for
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in grant management, including policy review and process implementation.
- Experience with funding schemes and funding policy development in the finance sector and/or telecom sector will be an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt quickly, learn independently, handle multiple tasks, and work well in a fast-moving environment.
- Comfortable using PowerPoint and Excel; experience with task automation through macros and VBS would be beneficial.
