Manager - Internal Audit - Risk Consulting

About the Role

Join EY's dynamic team in Auckland as a Manager within the Internal Audit Risk Consulting practice. You will oversee internal audit projects, ensuring risk management, control, and governance frameworks operate effectively. Your leadership will be instrumental in guiding engagements from planning through reporting, while maintaining strong client interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate internal audit engagements spanning planning, execution, and final reporting stages.
• Build and nurture client relationships to ensure ongoing engagement success.
• Provide informed recommendations to enhance risk management, internal controls, and governance procedures, adhering to audit standards and compliance requirements.
• Mentor and support junior auditors, encouraging professional growth and fostering a continuous improvement culture.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of five years' experience in internal auditing, risk management, or related disciplines with robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities in managing audit teams and projects.
• Experience within professional services or large, complex organizations is preferred.
• Competency in budget management and team oversight within the internal audit function.
• Preferred qualifications include New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency status and academic credentials such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP, CPA, CISA, or CA will be positively regarded.
